Compensation: Range 22/$ 86,720.75 - $ 93,659.67

Position Overview:
The College of New Jersey (TCNJ ) invites applications for a one-year teaching position in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences. Candidates should demonstrate potential to become an innovative teacher-scholar, whose research, educational, and professional experiences have prepared them to contribute meaningfully to an evidence-based movement science program/curriculum. The candidate's area of research specialization is open; however, the candidate should be prepared to teach in areas related to health & wellness strength & conditioning, exercise behavioral sciences, metabolic nutrition, exercise science, leadership management, data analytics, bio-mechanics, or other general kinesiology courses that support CoAES and CASCE accreditation. The successful candidate will teach four courses each semester. The position carries minimal ex pectations of service or advising so that the candidate may focus on teaching and on developing effective and engaging pedagogical strategies and state of the art student laboratory opportunities. In that regard, the candidate will be mentored by the Department Chair and further supported by TCNJ's Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Have obtained a Ph.D. in Exercise Science (or a closely related field). Consideration may be provided to advanced ABD candidates.
- Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.
- Show evidence of ability to teach within a Kinesiology and Health Science through publications, conference presentations, dissertation research, teaching, or other educational or professional experiences.
- Have strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting with a teaching/learning philosophy that reflects a diversity of thought and experience.
- Demonstrate cultural competency and ability to foster inclusive learning environments and mutual respect for students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
