Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal to join our busy boutique law practice in Metairie. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with clients, managing multiple deadlines, and handling a wide variety of legal matters involving estate planning, successions, business entities, and real estate transactions.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and clients while gaining experience across several areas of law in a collaborative office environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as point of contact for clients, gathering information and assisting with ongoing legal matters.
- Conduct legal, corporate, property, and public records research as needed.
- Draft, prepare, and manage legal documents related to succession and estate administration, including the opening and administration of successions, as well as estate planning matters.
- Prepare and file documents through court and governmental filing systems, both electronically and in person when necessary.
- Assist with business entity formations, governance documents, regulatory filings, and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Support real estate transactions and related documentation.
- Maintain accurate client records, legal files, and internal tracking systems.
- Monitor deadlines, follow up on outstanding items, and help manage workflow across multiple matters, including tracking and filing annual reports for numerous clients across multiple states.
- Provide administrative and project support to attorneys while ensuring a high level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, sound judgment, discretion, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service are essential.

Qualifications
- Previous paralegal experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic filing systems, Clio & Quickbooks a plus but not required
- Experience with estate planning, successions, corporate filings, or real estate transactions is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree required
