Summary:Trinity School is a PreK3 through 8th grade co-educational Catholic independent school rooted in Gospel values and affiliated with the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Trinity School seeks a dynamic, collaborative, and mission-driven educator to serve as a Middle School Math/Algebra Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. The teacher will foster a student-centered learning environment that promotes curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking in mathematics, while supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of middle school students.
Essential Job Duties:
Instructional Practice & Student Learning
- Plans and delivers engaging mathematics instruction aligned with NCTM standards, Trinity School curriculum, and best practices in middle school education
- Differentiates instruction to support a range of learners and promote equitable access to rigorous content
- Establishes clear expectations for student learning and provides timely, meaningful feedback
- Uses a variety of assessment methods to monitor progress and inform instruction
- Integrates instructional technology to enhance student engagement and deepen understanding
Classroom Culture & Student Development
- Creates a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student belonging and well-being
- Implements effective classroom management strategies that foster independence and responsibility
- Serves as a homeroom teacher and student advisor, supporting students' academic and personal growth
- Actively supervises students during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and other assigned duties
Communication & Family Partnership
- Maintains timely and professional communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Uses the school's learning management system to post assignments, resources, and updates
- Maintains accurate and current records in the electronic gradebook
Collaboration & Professional Engagement
- Collaborates with colleagues, student support teams, and administrators to support student success
- Participates in faculty meetings, professional development, retreats, and school committees
- Engages in ongoing professional growth consistent with AIMS principles of reflective practice and continuous improvement
- Contributes positively to the life of the school community and supports the mission of Trinity School
- Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary or Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics (or related field)
- Knowledge of NCTM standards and middle school math instructional practices
- Experience using educational technology tools to support instruction
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) certification
- Experience teaching middle school mathematics
- Familiarity with Eureka Math, Illustrative Mathematics, or Open Up Resources
- Experience in a Catholic or independent school setting
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to perform routine classroom and supervisory duties
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: $40,000 - $73,000, commensurate with experience. This range represents Trinity School's good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Additional Notes:
The successful candidate will be required to complete and pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check and MSDE employment history review.
