Description
Job Summary:The Maternal Health Accelerator Project Manager provides high-level administrative, operational, and project management support for the Maternal Health Accelerator (MHA) and related community health initiatives. This role is responsible for coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder projects; managing grant and award related activities; monitoring compliance and reporting requirements; and supporting strategic partnerships with funding agencies, healthcare organizations, academic collaborators, and community stakeholders. The role serves as a key liaison among internal and external partners, facilitates coalition and community engagement activities across North Texas, and supports the successful execution of project timelines, communications, and deliverables. Working closely with the Executive Director and governing organizations, the Project Manager ensures efficient project operations, promotes cross-functional collaboration, and advances the strategic goals and impact of the Maternal Health Accelerator. This position is grant funded and contingent upon ongoing funding.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
1. Analyzes funding needs, priorities, and opportunities to ensure alignment with organizational goals, strategic initiatives, and program objectives.
2. Alongside project management peers, develops, maintains, and oversees comprehensive grants management systems, including calendars and tracking mechanisms for MHA deadlines, submission requirements, reporting obligations, and compliance activities.
3. Cultivates and maintains strategic relationships with funding agencies, external stakeholders, and community partners to support program growth and collaboration.
4. Assists the Executive Director in coordinating and responding to reporting, financial, compliance, media, and other operational requests involving TCU sub-awardees.
5. In collaboration with the Executive Director and MHA governing organizations, serves in a project management and convening capacity for community engagement initiatives supporting the MHA in partnership with numerous organizations across counties and the Tarrant County Maternal and Infant Health Coalition.
6. In collaboration with the Executive Director, oversees reporting from subawardees and vendors to TCU and from TCU to funders as well as MHA data sharing documentation and compliance.
7. Develops, implements, and manages project timelines to ensure milestones, deliverables, and strategic objectives are achieved within established deadlines.
8. Coordinates and facilitates meetings with faculty, institutional leaders, internal teams, and external partners regarding program operations, initiatives, marketing, outreach, communications and strategic priorities.
9. Manages and monitors multiple complex projects simultaneously to effectively prioritize competing deadlines, stakeholder needs, and operational demands, as well as ensure adherence to sponsor requirements, regulatory standards, and institutional compliance obligations.
10. Collaborates with and supports project management peers and cross-functional partners to advance the successful execution of all MHA workstreams.
11. Assists the Executive Director in coordinating and monitoring external data-sharing activities, including associated compliance requirements, approvals, and data access processes relevant to MHA initiatives.
12. Maintains accurate and organized project records, files, and supporting documentation in accordance with institutional and sponsor requirements.
13. Tracks funded awards to ensure timely completion of reporting requirements, compliance activities, and deliverable submissions.
14. Provides support to internal stakeholders and collaborators regarding post-award reporting, documentation, and compliance-related activities.
15. Manages administrative processes related to the routing, approval, execution, tracking, and documentation of internal materials required to support project operations and external funding activities. Assists with coordinating and submitting all required reports and deliverables to external funders.
16. Communicates project updates, timelines, and critical deadlines to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and timely manner. Prepares and presents summary reports related to project activities.
17. Assists in the development of external presentation materials and support the coordination of large-scale meetings, stakeholder convenings, and public-facing events.
18. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public health, public administration, nonprofit management, research administration, or a related field.
• Three years of experience in project management, leading large complex teams or projects in a university setting, grant research, or related experience.
Preferred Education & Experience:
• Master's degree in Public Health (MPH), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), or a related field.
• Five plus years of experience in project management, leading large complex teams or projects in a university setting, grant research, or related experience.
• Experience working in maternal health, public health, healthcare systems, academic medicine, nonprofit organizations, or community-based initiatives.
• Experience with project management, preferably in research or academic medicine.
Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
• None
Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training:
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM, Lean, or similar credential)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge of communications, presentations and interpersonal relationship techniques.
• Knowledge of customer service techniques.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite and Grant management systems or data bases.
• Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
• Ability to stay organized and manage timelines, events, and budgets.

Work Environment:
- This is a grant-funded position contingent upon ongoing funding.
- Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
- Frequent local travel is required.
- There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
- The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
- This is an in-person, on-campus position.
