Description
Job Summary
Lead and manage commercial banking operations by overseeing business lending, deposit growth, treasury services, customer relationship management, and team performance. Supervise commercial banking staff, drive business development efforts, manage portfolio growth, and ensure achievement of production and profitability goals. Collaborate with internal departments to support loan origination, underwriting, credit analysis, and customer service while maintaining compliance with banking policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise, coach, and develop commercial banking staff.
Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee development activities.
Communicate business objectives, performance goals, and market strategies.
Monitor and manage key performance indicators and portfolio performance.
Achieve individual and team production goals.
Drive growth in commercial loans, deposits, and treasury services.
Develop and maintain customer acquisition, retention, and relationship expansion strategies.
Manage pipelines of prospects and existing customer relationships.
Structure commercial loan requests and ensure compliance with credit policies.
Collaborate with credit teams on underwriting, pricing, and loan approvals.
Identify cross-selling opportunities for additional banking products and services.
Serve as a trusted advisor to commercial clients.
Represent the organization through community involvement and professional networking.
Complete required training and professional development activities.
Ensure adherence to banking regulations, policies, and operational procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Management experience within banking or financial services.
Strong knowledge of commercial lending, underwriting, documentation, and treasury services.
Extensive experience in commercial relationship management.
Leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
Strong communication, presentation, and organizational abilities.
Proficiency with banking systems and business software applications.
Ability to travel as required.
