Job Summary
The Maritime Terminal Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and improvement of terminal facilities, buildings, grounds, utilities, and supporting infrastructure. This role ensures facilities are safe, functional, compliant with regulations, and aligned with operational and business needs. The position manages facility projects, contractors, vendors, maintenance programs, and department personnel while supporting daily terminal operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all terminal facilities, buildings, grounds, utilities, and infrastructure.
Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance, renovation, and facility improvement projects.
Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related operations and projects.
Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
Conduct facility inspections and identify maintenance, repair, and improvement requirements.
Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and monitor project progress.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain facility records, permits, project documentation, and vendor agreements.
Support emergency response activities and after-hours facility needs.
Manage department personnel, including scheduling, training, performance management, and staffing recommendations.
Requirements
Requirements
5–8 years of experience in facilities management, infrastructure management, or construction project management.
2+ years of supervisory experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong project management and vendor management skills.
Broad knowledge of building systems and facility operations.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct employees with varying skill levels.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working in both office and field environments.
Ability to obtain required security credentials.
Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency situations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in industrial, port, logistics, transportation, or large commercial environments.
Experience with maintenance management systems or project-tracking software.
Bilingual communication skills.
