Destin, FL | Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club is an 18-hole golf course and residential community that spans 160 acres, with an additional 28 acres of lakes. The surrounding development and Yacht Club grounds cover approximately 800 acres along the Choctawhatchee Bay. The golf course designed by Robert C. Walker, is a championship layout with six sets of tees to ensure a fun experience for all skill levels. Regatta Bay is known for smooth Tif-Eagle greens and lush fairways. In the heart of Destin and centrally located between the Bay and Gulf of America, Regatta Bay offers convenient access to the entire Florida panhandle.

• Affiliation with PGA/ LPGA is required. 
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience required.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.
• Self motivated, organized and committed to excellence. 
• Experience with promoting lesson programs and growing participation.
• Competitive playing experience is a plus.  

Essential Responsibilities

Title: Director of Instruction

Position Description: Ideal candidate enjoys teaching men, women and juniors of all ages and skill levels. We are looking for a teacher who is motivated and brings energy, to help players improve and enjoy their game. 

 

Successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

• Coordinate, promote and teach all instructional programs.
• Establish and grow a junior golf development program.
• Offer a variety of group clinics for all ages and skill levels.
• Collaborate with club leadership to support the overall golf experience of members and guests. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

• Collaborating with the current teaching staff, in a professional team-based environment,                    is essential.   
• Deliver a comprehensive instruction program for men, women and juniors of all skill levels, including full swing, short game, putting, wedges, strategy and course management.
• Provide private lessons, group clinics, and on-course playing lessons.
• Utilize technology and methods to enhance learning - video, launch monitor, SAM putt lab, force plates, training aids and drills.
• Club Fitting  
• Maintain a visible presence around the golf operation and throughout the club. 
• Support the golf operation and special events, as a member of the team.
