Bluffview Montessori School, a tuition-free public charter school rooted in the Montessori tradition, is seeking a warm and attentive Classroom Assistant to join our community for the 20262027 academic year.

Located in Winona, MN, Bluffview serves students from preschool through 8th grade. Our classrooms are thoughtfully prepared spaces where children build independence, responsibility, and joy through hands-on discovery and freedom within structure.

Position Overview
Classroom assistants work with the lead teacher to ensure that children have an authentic Montessori experience. They help prepare and maintain an orderly, attractive, and joyful environment that allows for freedom and the development of responsibility. They regularly observe the students and share reflections with the guide. Classroom assistants are also crucial in modeling courteous and respectful behavior, as well as contributing to the warm, supportive, and calm environment of a Bluffview Montessori classroom.
Licensure & Certification Requirements

• Valid CPR/First Aid/Anaphylaxis certification, or ability to acquire it
• Minimum of a high school diploma

Education & Experience Preferences

• Demonstrated ability to work with children
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification, or ability to acquire it
