We are looking for an Assistant Human Resources Director to join our team! This role is responsible for leading the day-to-day Human Resources function, overseeing all Human Resources office administration, and fostering a culture that reflects Hyatt's purpose of caring for people so they can be their best. Additionally, the AHRD assists in overseeing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, leave of absence administration, training and development, and engagement initiatives.
In partnership with the Director of Human Resources, the Assistant Director assists with both short- and long-term HR strategy, executes hotel and company initiatives, and serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and colleagues. Hyatt strives to develop Assistant Directors into future Human Resources Directors. The Human Resources function prides itself on excellence, service, integrity, accountability, and care.

Besides great pay and benefits the work is interesting, challenging and you'll have opportunities to grow. Stowe is a great place to put down roots; mountain bike in the summer, ski in the winter, world-class breweries and small farms; a great place to play during your time off or to raise an active family.
Pay Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
- Minimum of two years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
- Minimum of two years of Human Resources experience within a hotel environment or equivalent hospitality leadership experience.
- Strong Human Resources generalist experience required.
- Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training and development.
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.
- Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional administrative and project management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences for colleagues and guests through a lens of care.
