OverviewSolina Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic, service-driven, and career-oriented Assistant Golf Professional to join our team and help deliver an outstanding golf experience for our members and guests. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of one of the fastest-growing golf clubs in the Midlands while working alongside an experienced leadership team dedicated to excellence and professional development.
The Assistant Golf Professional will work closely with the Head Golf Professional at Solina Golf Club and the Director of Golf for Bluebird Golf Management, gaining valuable experience in daily golf operations, membership engagement, tournament administration, merchandising, instruction, and club development. This position offers a unique opportunity for an aspiring PGA Professional to grow within a dynamic organization that values innovation, hospitality, and career advancement.
Solina Golf Club is entering an exciting new chapter with a major capital improvement project that will significantly enhance the member and guest experience. The club is preparing to begin a $5 million clubhouse expansion and improvement project, which will include:
- A new clubhouse addition
- A new golf cart barn
- A dedicated member entertainment and social gathering area
- New on-course comfort stations
- Additional facility enhancements designed to elevate the overall club experience

This role offers hands-on experience in all aspects of club operations and a clear pathway for future advancement within Solina Golf Club and Bluebird Golf Management.
Experience Required
- PGA Associate enrolled in the PGA Golf Management Program or a desire to pursue PGA Membership.
- 1-3 years of golf operations experience preferred.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Golf Professional, Golf Shop Assistant, Intern, or Outside Operations Supervisor at a private club, resort, daily-fee facility, or golf management company.
- Experience working in a member-focused environment with a passion for hospitality and service.
- Knowledge of tournament operations, handicapping, and event administration.
- Familiarity with golf management software such as Golf Genius, Club Prophet, ForeTees, or similar systems is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and eager to learn from experienced golf industry leaders.
- Passion for growing the game through instruction, junior golf, member engagement, and club programming.
This position is ideal for an aspiring golf professional seeking to build a successful career in the golf industry. While previous Assistant Golf Professional experience is preferred, candidates with internship experience, golf shop experience, outside operations leadership experience, or recent graduates of PGA Golf Management programs are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with the Head Golf Professional at Solina Golf Club and the Director of Golf for Bluebird Golf Management, receiving mentorship and exposure to all aspects of private club operations, tournament management, merchandising, membership engagement, facility development, and golf operations.

Essential Responsibilities
The Assistant Golf Professional will play a key role in the daily operation and continued growth of Solina Golf Club. This position will work closely with the Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf to provide exceptional service, execute club programming, and support the overall member and guest experience.
Member & Guest Services
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all members and guests.
- Assist with daily golf shop operations, tee time management, and player check-in.
- Build strong relationships with members through consistent engagement and hospitality.
- Address member and guest inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Promote club events, programs, and activities to increase participation.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing all member tournaments and club events.
- Coordinate tournament registrations, pairings, scoring, and results.
- Utilize Golf Genius and other golf management software for event administration.
- Assist with outside events, corporate outings, and charity tournaments.
- Help create innovative member programming to enhance the club experience.
- Assist with daily golf shop opening and closing procedures.
- Process retail sales and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist with merchandising displays, inventory control, receiving, and special orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional golf shop environment.
- Promote merchandise sales and support retail growth initiatives.
- Assist with junior golf programs, camps, clinics, and player development initiatives.
- Provide individual and group instruction opportunities as available.
- Support programs designed to increase member participation and engagement.
- Promote and grow the game of golf through instructional programming.
- Assist in supervising and training golf shop staff and outside operations personnel.
- Help coordinate daily operations to ensure a seamless member experience.
- Serve as Manager on Duty for golf operations when assigned.
- Maintain professional standards and enforce club policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with all club departments to enhance overall operations.
- Monitor daily golf course conditions and communicate member feedback to club leadership.
- Assist in maintaining pace of play and proper on-course etiquette.
- Support ongoing facility improvement projects and operational enhancements.
- Help coordinate golf operations during the club's upcoming clubhouse expansion and amenity improvements.
- Represent Solina Golf Club and Bluebird Golf Management in a professional manner at all times.
- Participate in PGA educational programs and continuing education opportunities.
- Learn all aspects of golf operations, private club management, and member engagement through mentorship and hands-on experience.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational knowledge, leadership skills, and industry expertise.
