Role Overview
Our organization, a leader in the packaging and distribution industry, is seeking an experienced professional to oversee the design, administration, and optimization of our employee benefits programs. This individual will ensure our offerings remain competitive, cost-effective, and fully compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: South Central, PA
Reports To: VP, Human Resources
Salary: 125K
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Strategy & Administration: Manage all health and welfare plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement. Evaluate and recommend enhancements to support employee engagement and organizational goals.
Leave Management: Administer comprehensive leave programs including FMLA, ADA accommodations, parental leave, and workers' compensation. Ensure accurate tracking and strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure ongoing compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA. Prepare required filings such as Form 5500 and manage non-discrimination testing.
Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for brokers, carriers, and consultants. Monitor performance, lead RFP processes, and negotiate renewals.
Employee Engagement: Lead annual open enrollment, develop clear communication materials, and resolve complex employee escalations with empathy.
Data Analytics: Analyze utilization trends to identify cost-control opportunities and provide regular budget performance reporting to leadership.
Requirements
Candidate Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration or total rewards.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration systems is required; experience with Paycom is a plus.
Certifications: Professional designations such as CEBS, SHRM-CP/SCP, or PHR/SPHR are strongly preferred.
Soft Skills: High attention to detail, commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a standard office environment with extended periods of sitting and computer use.
- Visual acuity for data entry and auditory skills for clear communication via phone and electronic means.
- Occasional lifting of office materials up to 20 pounds.
