Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive patient care by diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses, prescribing necessary medications and treatments, and performing complete physical examinations. Responsibilities include conducting health assessments, obtaining detailed histories, ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests, and assessing psychosocial and family factors to support accurate clinical decision-making. The role includes managing common acute and chronic conditions, promoting family health through routine screenings, and providing counseling and education. Additional duties include performing minor surgical procedures, initiating life-saving measures in emergencies, coordinating referrals, and collaborating with physicians and specialists to ensure high-quality patient care across all care sites.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Current BLS certification (required prior to providing direct patient care)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the women's health field preferred
