Job Description
Trade Compliance Manager :
As a Trade Compliance Manager, you will lead the implementation of a comprehensive trade compliance framework that ensures adherence to global customs regulations, export controls, and Free Trade Agreements. You'll drive operational excellence, mentor a global team, and position Philips to remain compliant and competitive in international markets.
Your role:
- You will oversee trade compliance strategy and operations, leading initiatives that align with global standards while ensuring efficiency and adherence to local regulations.
- You'll collaborate closely with global teams across Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, and Business Units to manage risks, resolve compliance issues, and optimize trade processes.
- Lead customs classification projects and export control compliance, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all global transactions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean principles to streamline compliance processes and enhance business efficiency.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and training across business units and mentoring the global trade compliance community at Philips.
You're the right fit if:
- You've acquired 5+ years of experience in Trade Compliance, Export Compliance, or Customs Administration, preferably within a multinational or complex regulatory environment.
- Your skills include strong knowledge of global customs regulations, Free Trade Agreements, cost management, and Harmonized System (HS) classification, with the ability to lead audits and compliance assessments.
- You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Customs Administration, Trade Compliance, or a related field; a U.S. Customs Broker License is required.
- You're an analytical, proactive, and collaborative leader who can communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly and drive a culture of continuous improvement across global teams.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position .
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.
This is an office-based role.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Nashville, TN is $ 84,000.00 to $112,000.00
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
Additional Information
US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.
Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Nashville, TN
