Sustainability Manager - Program Lead NKG Verified (f/m/d).
In this role, you will be part of our Sustainable Supply Chain Standards team. You will take full ownership and a leading role in the further development and global implementation of our internal verification scheme, NKG Verified. Additionally, you will support our group companies in meeting sustainability standards across diverse supply chains.
Your responsibilities
- Drive the continuous development of NKG Verified, leveraging synergies with certification schemes, regulatory requirements, and local realities.
- Manage internal monitoring and reporting of KPIs, ensuring clear processes and insights to support management decision-making.
- Coordinate global implementation across supply chains, ensuring requirements, timely delivery, and high-quality documentation
- Motivate and coordinate regional sustainability teams without disciplinary responsibility.
- Act as a service partner for group companies by developing training and communication materials, equipping colleagues with tools and updates, and engaging with key customers.
- Identify and implement process improvements and drive the digitalization of NKG Verified as a key part of a cross-departmental project group.
Your profile
- Education: university degree in Business Administration, Sustainability Management, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable field.
- Cultural Awareness & Impact: Strong understanding of origin realities and a clear motivation to create positive impact in global supply chains.
- Background: Several years of experience in project management and sustainability verification or certification schemes, ideally with hands-on implementation experience in origin countries (e.g. coffee, cocoa, rubber, grains).
- Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with a strong affinity for data and digital tools (advanced Excel skills required). Experience with the GCP Equivalence Mechanism is a plus.
- Personality: Detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and empathetic team player who enjoys coordination and supporting others in achieving shared goals.
- Internationality: Fluent English; Spanish, Portuguese, or German are an advantage; strong intercultural competence.
