About the Role:
As a Senior Manager of Maintenance, you are responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities on aircraft (as assigned by the Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Control, and Maintenance Planning), as well as managing support equipment and special tools. You also have the authority to assign work functions to Maintenance Technicians as needed.
A Day in the Life:
Your day will be dynamic and hands-on, focused on keeping each aircraft flight-ready, safe, and compliant. Typical responsibilities include:
Maintenance Oversight: Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with work issued by the Director of Maintenance (DOM), Maintenance Control, and Maintenance Planning, and that all work complies with FAA regulations and company policies and procedures.
Site Visits: Perform visits to company and vendor locations to oversee scheduled maintenance events, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
Aircraft Readiness: Ensure all assigned aircraft maintenance is properly scheduled and completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
Team Supervision: Supervise Maintenance Technicians by reviewing performance, addressing personnel issues, generating assignments, and setting daily priorities.
Technical Guidance: Provide clear instruction and support to maintenance crewmembers on technical orders, checklists, and hazardous materials procedures.
Work Assignments: Assign Maintenance Technicians based on requirements in assigned work packages or as directed by Maintenance Control.
Training & Development: Provide crewmembers with hands-on training for company maintenance equipment, monitor annual training requirements, and ensure compliance with all certifications.
Maintenance Coordination: Promptly update Maintenance Control on the mechanical status of aircraft, emphasizing changes to return-to-service times and any maintenance delays.
Hands-On Maintenance: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, servicing, launch and recovery, corrosion control, inspections, and complex repairs of aircraft, subsystems, and components as needed.
Technical Reviews: Review Service Bulletins, Advisory Directives, and work orders to assess and implement required modifications or upgrades to aircraft systems.
Manuals & Documentation: Read and interpret manufacturer and company maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the most effective methods for repair or replacement.
Equipment Scheduling: Maintain and track maintenance schedules for all company equipment and assets to ensure readiness and reliability.
Material Management: Assist in maintaining adequate materials and parts inventory by anticipating requirements and reordering as necessary.
Aircraft & Equipment Movement: Supervise and assist in aircraft or equipment movement operations as required.
FOD & Housekeeping: Conduct regular flight line and hangar inspections to prevent foreign object damage (FOD) and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Customer & Leadership Interaction: Meet with customers and company leadership as needed to discuss maintenance progress, updates, and operational readiness.
Resource Management: Ensure that all necessary materials, parts, and equipment are available to complete assigned tasks without delay.
Shift Turnover: Verify that maintenance technicians complete proper work turnover documentation and communication prior to the end of each shift.
Safety Focus: Promote a safe and clean working environment, emphasizing FOD prevention and adherence to all safety protocols.
Additional Duties: Perform other qualified duties as assigned to support aircraft maintenance operations and team success.

Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Aviation or Business, or equivalent industry experience.
Five or more years of experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
One year experience as a JSX Technician or two years of aviation management experience.
Three or more years of E135 family maintenance experience.
Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Effective communication skills with complete fluency in written and spoken English.
Effective leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to supervise a team.
Able to crawl, bend, kneel, climb, and stoop frequently in confined spaces.
Able to drive tugs, trucks, taxi aircraft, or other company equipment.
Advanced knowledge of:
Aircraft common and special tools and test equipment.
Aircraft engine, landing gear, and flight control systems.
Preferred Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma.
Experience using electronic maintenance tracking programs.
Highly knowledgeable in Company Manuals, Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manuals, and other documents and data pertaining to the duties listed above.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Skill, Licenses, & Certifications:
A current and valid Driver's license is required.
A current and valid Passport is required.
A current and valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required.
Ability to operate in time critical situation with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage high-stress situations
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates industry knowledge in all areas of the Maintenance Department, with the ability to educate, guide, motivate, and encourage others within the organization to achieve success
Experience as a team leader and project or program manager
Pay & Perks:
Compensation is $120,000 $130,000 /annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
