General Summary: Leads the college's digital marketing strategy across email, web, and social media platforms. This position is responsible for driving digital engagement, aligning cross-channel messaging, and ensuring the user experience reflects the college's brand and mission. Reports to the Associate Vice President for Communications and Marketing and works with staff, faculty, and external vendors.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develops and executes digital strategy across key platforms. Responsible for formulating detailed strategies to enhance the college's presence and engagement across its primary digital channels, including the website, email, and social media. This entails setting clear objectives, identifying key audiences, and ensuring integrated messaging across all platforms.
- Oversees website content management, design, and functionality in collaboration with IT partners. Works with the Information Technology Services team to ensure the website is aesthetically refined, functionally efficient, and user-centric. Duties involve updating and enhancing content, optimizing navigation, and ensuring adherence to accessibility and compliance standards.
- Manages email marketing campaigns and content calendar. Leads the planning, execution, and administration of email campaigns designed to engage diverse audience segments, including prospective students, faculty, and alumni. Responsibilities include developing impactful messaging, analyzing campaign outcomes, and refining strategies based on performance data.
- Supervises social media strategy and analytics. Directs the creation, deployment, and evaluation of social media content that aligns with the college's brand identity and mission. This includes monitoring engagement metrics and leveraging analytics to expand reach and enhance audience interaction.
- Collaborates with creative and content teams to develop digital storytelling assets. Engages with designers, writers, and creative professionals to produce high-quality digital content that effectively showcases the college's accomplishments, values, and communities. This involves ensuring visual and narrative cohesion across storytelling materials.
- Monitors digital trends, tools, and analytics to inform strategy. Keeps abreast of evolving digital innovations, tools, and industry trends to maintain the college's competitive edge. Utilizes advanced analytics to refine strategies, optimize channels, and drive impactful results in digital communications.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in digital communications, with supervisory experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong digital analytics and campaign management skills
- Familiarity with Cascade, HubSpot, and accessibility standards
- Excellent project management and team leadership
- Experience managing people and projects
- Ability to communicate effectively with excellent presentation skills
- Budget management experience and knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Ability to work well with all campus constituencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage a heavy workload and multiple priorities
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office.
