We are looking for a full-time member to join our team working on the EUROfusion program, starting on January 1, 2026 as Project Manager in the Project Management Office (m/f/d).

About us
The Plasma-Material Interactions Chair at the TUM School of Engineering and Design focuses on researching materials for the first wall of fusion reactors.

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) participates with the Plasma-Material Interactions Chair in 'EUROfusion', a consortium funded by EURATOM to implement the research activities described in the 'Roadmap to Fusion' during the term of the 'Horizon Europe' research framework program.
The consortium maintains the Program Management Unit (PMU), an organizational unit responsible for program planning and program tracking.

Your profile
• Bachelor's degree in economics. The required educational qualification may be replaced by extensive professional experience with similar responsibilities and/or additional training certificates in relevant areas.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in project management or project administration.
• Experience with European H2020 and HE projects and familiarity with the structure and objectives of the EUROfusion program are a great advantage.
• IT skills: MS Office package, in particular MS Project and MS Excel.
• Very good English skills; the working language is English.
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary and international teams.

Your tasks
• Monitoring compliance with EUROfusion's internal project management methodology and quality standards and the requirements of the European Commission in all project phases.
• Maintaining the central documentation database with version control.
• Tracking project progress by monitoring project schedules, tasks, and milestones, proactively notifying the project manager of any potential delays or deviations.
• Presenting project status reports and dashboards to stakeholders and senior management.
• Budget tracking and expenditure monitoring at consortium level
• Supporting continuous improvement by gathering experience and feedback to improve future project processes and templates.
