Position Description
Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing on-site field administration, supervision, and technical management for all construction operations, including direct supervision of foreman, subcontractors, and other construction related personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
On Site Project Duties:
- Review design documents, shop drawings and submittals for consistency with contract scope of work.
- Set-up job site logistics.
- Identify, define and procure required craft and subcontractor services.
- Monitor project costs and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute meeting agendas and minutes.
- Document daily construction activities.
- Assist with preparation of CPM schedule.
- Implement project engineering procedures, and other work controlling documents.
- Change order documentation and associated cost reporting and maintenance.
- Time card review and invoice processing.
- Dedicated to achieving a "Zero Accident Culture" by adhering to site safety protocols and OSHA safety standards.
- Compile contract close out documents.
- Assists with pre-construction activities as needed: construction planning and design, interpretation of design
- and drawings, application of construction methods.
- Develops, implements, and administers project engineering procedures and other work documentation.
- Assists with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
- Prepares estimate of company's change order work.
- Assembles and notifies all parties of approved change orders in accordance with owner contract requirements.
- Issues service agreements for various needs as directed by Project Manager.
- Completes required new hire documentation for field personnel.
- Develops and maintains good working relationship with Owners, subcontractors and field personnel.
- Distributes new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses and other project information to all
- affected parties.
- Takes weekly jobsite photographs for documentation purposes. Manages project photo database.
- Prepares and reviews project daily reports
- Oversees in preparation of project status reports, participates in project status meetings, and development of meeting minutes.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Trains employees, plans, assigns, and directs work, identifies complaints, and resolves problems.
- Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Estimating Duties:
- Analyze and compile estimate data that impact labor costs, materials, equipment requirements, location, and other factors to ensure a timely estimate.
- Review drawings, specifications and proposed project site conditions, record findings and solicit input from Senior Management and field operations in final project estimate.
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with owners.
- Utilize existing cost history as a reference to complete estimate.
- Complete take-offs to confirm quantities and ensure accuracy of drawings.
- Assists with development of complete estimates for review by Senior Management and submittal to Owner.
This job regularly requires presence at jobsite locations. Willingness to drive long distances is required.
Position Requirements
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in estimating support, project support, or similar experience. Perfereably in Water / Wastewater Treatment construction
- Strong computer skills and familiarization with software programs to include project design, job costing, scheduling, and estimating.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- A valid California Driver's License
