Seeking a Program Manager / System Administrator to provide technical and managerial support for Windows-based servers and workstations (physical and virtual) in support of the 33rd Network Warfare Squadron at Lackland AFB. This role combines hands-on system administration with leadership of a multi‑disciplinary technical team and direct interaction with government customers. Key Responsibilities: Program & Team Management
- Lead and manage a team across multiple functional areas, including scheduling, staffing, and workload management. Ensure adherence to DoD, AF, and corporate policies, standards, and compliance requirements. Oversee training, certification tracking, performance management, timekeeping, and professional development. Address conflict resolution, morale, and disciplinary issues in coordination with company leadership and customer stakeholders.
- Serve as primary company interface to government customers, maintaining effective communication and ensuring service levels and SLAs are consistently met or exceeded. Monitor and report on program performance, risks, and issues; develop and implement corrective actions as needed. Support planning and execution of unit initiatives, including large-scale virtualization and infrastructure improvement efforts.
- Provide direct system administration support for Windows servers and workstations in both physical and virtualized environments. Act as initial point of contact for related trouble tickets; troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests, maintaining a high-resolution rate Perform installation, patching, configuration, and daily maintenance of servers, workstations, laptops, and associated peripherals. Support deployment and maintenance of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), participating as a key member of the virtualization team
- Ensure integrity, confidentiality, and availability of systems and networks through proper configuration, monitoring, and maintenance practices. Manage system backup and recovery procedures; validate restore capabilities and support continuity of operations. Create, modify, and delete user accounts in accordance with established policies, ensuring users receive appropriate rights and privileges to perform assigned duties. Develop, implement, and maintain domain Group Policies to enforce security baselines and operational standards, ensuring least-privilege access for users and systems.

Required Qualifications:- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance Experience providing system administration for Windows servers and workstations in DoD or similarly regulated environments. Proven experience leading or managing technical teams in an IT, cyber, or network operations setting. Demonstrated success in resolving a high volume of technical tickets and delivering strong customer service. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, or similar), including large-scale VDI environments. Experience with Active Directory, user and group management, and Group Policy creation and administration. Knowledge of backup/recovery, configuration management, and security best practices in a DoD/enterprise context.
- Prior experience supporting Air Force or other DoD cyber/network warfare units. Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, MCSA/MCSE, VCP, ITIL). Experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, STIGs, RMF, and related compliance requirements.
