Triumph GroupPosition Summary
The Production Planner demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/ programmes/ processes for specified areas or business segments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Demonstrate accountability for short & long-term planning of production requirements
• Support the procurement function and contribute to material procurement scheduling
• Coordinate the master production schedule for a manufacturing site and ensure a consistent handover of planning information to the production work cells
• Load information to material and resource planning management system
• Interact with Operations and Manufacturing functions to track production progress
• Gather production metrics and periodically report these metrics to the Operations Manager and/ or relevant managers
• Ensure that the master schedule and production schedules are synchronized
• Coordinate manufacturing prioritisation of activities to achieve delivery of operational targets
• Report and monitor plant production load and capacity
• Make use of business forecast with easy to access and transparent data
• Capacity planning and Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) management activities
• Generating and issuing of all job cards required for manufacturing in line production plan
• Completion of any work-related tasks, which would be deemed reasonable of this role
Job Requirements, Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Prior scheduling experience preferred
• In depth knowledge and experience of ERP / MRP systems
• Experienced user of MS Excel e.g. complex pivot tables, data management, graphics, macros
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of production and inventory management
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Able to develop and execute objectives for self and others
• Based in Deeside
• Travel to other Triumph sites will be required
• Hours of Employment: 37 hours a week, some flexibility may be required.
