Description
The Department of Political Science and Local Politics and Policy Lab at Emory University invite applications for a Pre or Post-Doctoral Fellowship for one year. There is a possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding for another year. The start date is flexible and the Fellow can start anytime up to Summer 2026. The fellowship should last one year from the start date.Directed by Professor Natalia Bueno, the Local Politics and Policy Lab conducts cutting-edge, rigorous empirical research on local politics and policy around the globe (United States included), especially on issues of housing, municipal finance, decentralization, public service provision, and local elections. The Fellow will work closely with Professor Bueno to manage the Lab, collaborate on research initiatives, collect and analyze data. The Fellow will also participate in the academic activity of the department and will have time to conduct their own research.
Salary is competitive. There is no formal teaching required. The starting date of the position is flexible, and the Fellow can start anytime up to Summer 2026.
Qualifications
Priority will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in political science, economics, or adjacent disciplines in hand, but exceptional candidates without a Ph.D. will be considered.
Strong skills in quantitative methods, data analysis, project management, and written communication.
