OverviewABOUT THE NORTH FLORIDA PGA The North Florida PGA (NFPGA) is one of 41 Sections of the PGA of America. Formed in 1979, the NFPGA is the 3rd largest of the 41 geographic Sections that comprise the PGA of America. Approximately 1,700 PGA Members and Associates strive to promote the golf game's enjoyment and growth in the North Florida Section. With its offices at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Winter Garden, FL, the NFPGA is dedicated to serving its members and growing the game. North Florida PGA Professionals are the experts in the business of golf. They are responsible for conducting various golf-related functions, including general management, coaching, player engagement, tournament operations, merchandising, and more.
OUR TERRITORY The NFPGA encompasses the forty-two counties east of the Apalachicola River (west of Tallahassee) to the Atlantic Ocean along the Florida / Georgia border. The southern boundary is the counties of Brevard, Osceola, Highlands, and Charlotte.

POSITION SUMMARYThe NFPGA Section is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented individual to support in all Section Tournament, Drive, Chip, and Putt and Foundation (PGA REACH North Florida) operations. The Operations Coordinator will play a key role in executing NFPGA Section tournaments, junior golf and foundation programming events, PGA TOUR qualifiers, amongst other Section-related events. The position requires travel to most Section events and the ability to manage various aspects of event operations. The individual working in this position shall act on behalf of the North Florida PGA Section of the PGA of America and report to the Tournament Department Directors.

Experience Required
- Prior experience in golf operations, event management, or tournament administration preferred
- PGA Member Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Rules of Golf
- Proficiency in Google Suite products, social media and creative platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Canva, Mailchimp)
- Knowledge and utilization of the Golf Genius tournament management software is preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to travel and work extended hours, including weekends, holidays, and overnight stays as needed

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently travel for multiple days in a row
- Lifting and carrying equipment up to 50 pounds
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Work outside in extreme weather and temperatures with direct sun exposure
- Use of hands with computers, phones, cameras, collating materials, etc.
- Ability to hear and see both short and long distances
- Must be able to operate a golf cart
- Must be able to drive a high-profile van
