A minimum of a Master's degree in public health, healthcare management, public administration, public policy, higher education, urban/regional planning, community development, business, non-profit management, or related field.
Position Summary
The University of Georgia is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a One Health Archway Professional. One Health is the intersection of well-being and health outcomes for people, animals, and the environment. This position is a Public Service and Outreach faculty member that will serve as a liaison between the Archway Partnership, and other health and science colleges, schools, departments, institutes, centers, units, and Georgia communities. The Archway Partnership is a Public Service and Outreach Unit under the leadership of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach (PSO).
The One Health Archway Professional will convene partners in communities around the state to facilitate critical health and wellness conversations to support the development of internships, residencies, field clinics, develop and recruit students, engage with K-12 education around STEM education, explore bridge programs to help medical and veterinary professionals complete advanced degrees, and more. Additionally, this position will provide community engagement and facilitation for health and science partners conducting community engaged research throughout the state. The position carries rank in the public service faculty career ladder of the University of Georgia. This is a statewide position and requires the ability to travel to locations across Georgia during the day, in the evening, and on weekends as needed.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification
1. Five years' experience in healthcare, public health, community development, economic development, public administration, planning, non-profit, community organizing, leadership development, or regional planning
2. Background in group facilitation, consensus building, focus groups, public engagement, and community organizing
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
1. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
2. Proven professional who is responsive, service oriented, efficient, and timely with the desire to work as a member of a team sharing common goals and mission.
3. Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail, including the ability to present scientific, technical, and programmatic information to varied audiences
4. Proven community program and project management skills
5. Excellent data analytics and computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office
6. Ability and willingness to travel to locations across Georgia as needed
7. Ability to work independently and as a member of a highly integrated team

1. Enhances community engagement for health and science colleges, schools, departments, institutes, centers, and units by leveraging UGA's vast network of public service and outreach
2. Develops concrete mechanisms and approaches to support communities, including partnership opportunities with existing educational and community clinics
3. Fosters enhanced business engagement in health-related fields where UGA has existing and/or emerging strengths
4. Helps to build a culture of entrepreneurship in health science research and education
5. Serves as liaison between the Archway Partnership, other health and science colleges, schools, and units, and Georgia communities
6. Participates in interdisciplinary grant teams through preparation, review, budgeting, community engagement, reporting, implementation, and other grant activities
7. Works closely with the Archway Partnership leadership to identify and prepare new opportunities for partnership around the state
8. Coordinates student experiential learning and faculty research through community programs or projects
9. Develops dynamic relationships with community stakeholders to foster capacity building and resilience
10. Familiarization with a wide range of resources at UGA, other higher education institutions, state agencies, regional partnerships, non-profit organizations, professional trade associations, and other organizations
11. Demonstrates partnership, collaboration, and community engagement best practices and principles
12. Positions local partnerships, programs, and projects for marketing, promotional, and media opportunities
13. Engages in regional and state-wide partnerships to support community connectivity to additional resources
14. Participates in professional development activities, scholarly research, data collection, evaluation mechanisms, and other tools to document activities and program impact
15. Other duties as assigned
