What will your role be?
Join our dynamic team as a pivotal leader in driving the MMS change journey within Diageo's Supply Leadership team. You will play a crucial role in enhancing performance, standards, and capability through strategic facilitation and support of MMS training initiatives. By effectively leveraging data analysis, you will identify and implement improvement opportunities across our site, contributing significantly to the Diageo Australia Supply change programme.
As a subject matter expert in MMS, you'll provide strategic guidance at all levels, ensuring alignment with Diageo's overarching strategy. Your leadership will champion good governance and compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards. Building strong relationships with senior managers across supply chains is key to your success as you advocate for asset care and drive exceptional performance across all areas of our balanced scorecard-safety, quality, environment, delivery, productivity, cost efficiency, and morale
What does this role look like for you?
- Implement and Drive Supply Manex Plan: Develop and lead the execution of the Supply Manex plan, ensuring alignment with global MMS practices and methodologies across all departments.
- Coach and Support Managers: Provide coaching to managers at all levels to implement MMS methodologies effectively, focusing on delivering reliable, high-quality, safe, and cost-effective outcomes.
- Coordinate MMS Deployment: Facilitate coordination among departments to maintain alignment throughout the supply chain during MMS deployment, ensuring sustainable practices are embedded.
- Lead Improvement Strategy and Change Management: Collaborate with the Supply Leadership Team to develop a clear improvement strategy for Australia Supply, leading change management processes with defined objectives.
- Provide Expert Analysis and Guidance: Offer expert analysis on value chain implications of site issues, loss & waste leadership, and participate in improvement projects using DMAIC methodology.
- Ensure Effective Training Implementation: Oversee the implementation of MMS training and development programs, ensuring comprehensive communication and engagement in performance improvement initiatives.
What will you bring to the table?
- Educational Background: Degree-level qualification in engineering or science-related field, or equivalent experience. Six Sigma qualification is desirable.
- Industry Expertise: Minimum of 5 years in leadership roles within a world-class FMCG manufacturing environment, with strong knowledge of packaging, processing, and plant technologies.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive problem-solving abilities developed through Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or Manufacturing Excellence exposure.
- Leadership and Coaching: Proven track record in championing manufacturing excellence and building high-performance teams through effective coaching and performance standard setting.
- Financial and Technical Proficiency: Sound financial acumen with proficiency in MS Office and Diageo packages; familiarity with SAP/MRP systems is advantageous.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of environmental and safety legislation standards, including COMAH compliance.
