CLC's Innovations and Operations' Licensing team is focused on providing our licensees and institutions with unmatched customer service and delivering solutions. Through the use of our Brand Manager 360 platform and other various technology, we facilitate processes including but not limited to submitting artwork, reporting royalties, disclosing suppliers and all aspects of license management. 
As the Licensing Operations Manager, you will manage and oversee the end-to-end administration and implementation of licensing processes, including system and documentation updates in response to new policies from partner institutions. You will be a large part of helping lead the optimization of systems, drive process improvements, and support innovation within CLC licensing systems. The Licensing Operations Manager will also communicate directly with other CLC departments outside of Innovations and Operations including Royalty Operations, Legal, and Partnerships on various operational processes and to create impactful workflows. This role will be client-facing across both internal and external users.
Essential Functions and Specific Responsibilities:
Operational & Licensing Support
- Oversee calendar of important dates for reminders, renewals, communication and facilitating that cross-functional communication when needed
- Coordinate and implement transitions when institutions join or leave CLC
- Assist in administration of cancellation and expiration of licensee accounts
- Maintain knowledge of licensee products, distribution channels, CLC systems, and overall licensing strategies
- Manage the setup and invoicing processes for institution special programs, including one-time agreements, NIL licenses, custom marks programs, and similar initiatives
- Aid in providing information to be used in enforcement efforts and audits
Process Improvements
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of licensing workflows and standard operating procedures to increase efficiency and systems
- Conduct system audits to resolve outstanding issues
- Identify inefficiencies and implement strategic initiatives to help optimize performance
- Develop and execute goals and objectives to meet business needs
- Utilize data insights to identify patterns and system trends to enhance processes
Leadership and Management
- Project management and team lead on system development and enhancements
- Lead collaborative brainstorming sessions and manage innovation-driven operational projects from concept to execution
- Responsible for developing, enhancing, and communicating guidelines and updates for internal team staff and cross functionally
- Manages two direct reports including the operations coordinator
- Foster professional growth of team members through regular feedback, development opportunities, performance metrics, and goal setting
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Recommended 4+ years of experience in operations, licensing, project management, customer and/or client support, or other related experience
- Prior experience working with licensing systems or knowledge of industry-specific licensing requirements is highly preferred
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving system or process related challenges
- Confident in generating, sharing, and challenging ideas
- Comfortable working with documents like contracts, addenda, and other formal paperwork
- Highly collaborative with the ability to work across departments
- Ability to always represent the company in a professional manner both internally and externally and when participating in client meetings
- Adaptability to changing processes, technologies, and business needs
