Job Summary
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) provides patient-centered nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include collecting and reporting patient data, carrying out provider orders, and performing therapeutic procedures appropriate for the patient’s age and condition. All duties are performed in accordance with established clinical guidelines and professional standards. Additional related tasks may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care as directed by an RN.
Gather, document, and report patient data accurately.
Perform therapeutic procedures within licensure and training.
Follow clinical policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Support the care team by assisting with patient needs and unit functions.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education & Training
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
Current BLS certification.
Experience
One year of inpatient medical-surgical experience preferred, but not required.
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in emergency or critical care environments.
Comfortable working with ventilators, tracheostomies, PICC lines, and similar clinical equipment.
Two years of direct patient care experience.
