Description
Job Summary
Senior technical professional responsible for enterprise microwave and fiber optic network planning, engineering, project execution, documentation, and advanced diagnostics. This role provides Level 3 engineering support, including participation in after-hours on-call rotations, ensuring high availability and performance of telecommunications infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, schedule, procure, implement, and document telecommunications hardware, software, and facilities for assigned projects.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, architectural guidelines, and operational policies related to telecommunications systems.
Support enterprise radio, microwave, SONET, and fiber optic network planning, engineering, documentation, and diagnostics.
Design network solutions and device configurations for IP-based equipment including routers, firewalls, and Ethernet switches.
Lead telecommunications engineering projects within defined budget and timeline parameters.
Serve as Tier 3 escalation support for complex network hardware, software, and facility issues.
Monitor network performance and conduct capacity planning, providing recommendations for system improvements.
Research, evaluate, and recommend new microwave, radio, and fiber optic technologies and solutions.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Telecommunications or Network Engineer or equivalent role.
Experience working with modern and emerging telecommunications technologies.

Project management skills including scheduling, cost control, task planning, and status reporting.
