This role offers meaningful exposure to the financial markets, manager sourcing, due diligence, portfolio construction and risk management.
The ideal candidate is a high functioning self-starter who is able to effectively collaborate within a small team setting. The individual should possess strong analytical rigor, attention to detail and the ability to synthesize both quantitative and qualitative metrics into clear, actionable investment insights/recommendations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and cultivate market contacts to source and evaluate new investment opportunities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative due diligence on external hedge fund managers across multiple strategies
- Monitor existing manager relationships, including performance, risk and organizational developments
- Maintain internal research databases and documentation with precision and confidentiality
- Collaborate with investment, legal and operational due diligence teams
- Prepare written reports that support portfolio construction and capital allocation decisions
- Some domestic and/or international travel may be required for on-site due diligence
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree (BS, BA) required
- 0-4 years of experience in the financial industry
- Internship experience, graduate degree and/or professional designation (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus
Core Competencies :
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Excel and foundational knowledge of statistical and financial concepts
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of objectivity, integrity and professional judgment
The base pay for this position is anticipated to be between $75,000 and $135,000 per year. The anticipated annual base pay range is current as of the time this job post was generated. This position is eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a bonus, health and dental plans and 401(k) contributions, which includes a discretionary profit sharing program. An employee's bonus and related compensation benefits can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
