Job Description / Essential Elements Yreka Union High School District is seeking a qualified Integrated Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Primary assignment will be 9th Grade Integrated Science, with the possibility of additional science courses as needed.
The ideal candidate will:
- Provide engaging, standards-based instruction in Integrated Science
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support diverse learners through differentiation and assessment
- Collaborate with colleagues as part of a professional learning community
- Credential Requirement Must hold an appropriate, valid California Single Subject Science
Credential authorizing teaching in grades 9-12.
Applicants may hold one of the following (or similar) authorizations that qualify them to teach Integrated Science:
- Single Subject: Biological Sciences
- Single Subject: Chemistry/Physical Sciences
- Single Subject: Earth/Planetary Sciences
- Other Single Subject Science credential meeting assignment criteria
Important: A Foundational-Level General Science (Foundational Science) credential does not qualify a candidate for this position.
EL/CLAD authorization required, or out-of-state equivalent.
Note: Out-of-state candidates without EL or CLAD authorization will be considered if the candidate agrees to apply for emergency authorization and obtain the required authorization within one year of hiring.
