Arlington Ridge Golf Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Golf Professional to lead all aspects of the golf operation at our growing semi-private golf community in Central Florida.

This role requires a well-rounded golf professional with proven experience in golf operations, tournament management, instruction, merchandising, and staff leadership. The ideal candidate takes pride in running a highly organized operation, building relationships with members, and creating memorable golf experiences.

The Head Golf Professional will work closely with the General Manager and leadership team to continue building a strong golf culture while delivering an exceptional member and guest experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited for a professional who enjoys being visible, engaged with members, and actively involved in the day-to-day golf operation.
Position Overview

The Head Golf Professional is responsible for the overall leadership and execution of the golf operation, including daily play, tournaments, merchandising, instruction, staffing, and member engagement.

Arlington Ridge maintains an active tee sheet and busy tournament calendar, and this position requires a professional who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing a dynamic golf environment.

This is a working Head Professional role, meaning the successful candidate will lead by example and be actively involved in daily operations while developing systems that keep the golf operation running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Golf Operations

• Oversee all day-to-day golf operations including tee sheet management, pace of play, and first tee experience
• Maintain a highly organized and efficient golf operation
• Coordinate and execute member tournaments, leagues, and outside outings
• Ensure smooth coordination between golf operations, agronomy, and food & beverage teams
• Maintain a welcoming and professional environment for members and guests

Tournament & Event Management

• Plan and execute a full calendar of member tournaments, competitive events, and social golf programs
• Manage scoring, formats, handicapping, and tournament administration
• Create engaging and well-run events that drive participation and strengthen the club community

Staff Leadership

• Recruit, train, and lead assistant professionals and outside service staff
• Establish clear expectations and systems for daily operations
• Foster a team culture centered on professionalism, service, and efficiency
• Manage scheduling and ensure strong operational coverage during busy periods

Instruction & Player Development

• Maintain an active teaching and player development program
• Offer private instruction, clinics, and group programming
• Help grow participation and engagement across all skill levels

Golf Shop & Merchandising

• Manage golf shop merchandising including buying, inventory management, and displays
• Develop promotions and product strategies that drive retail revenue
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional golf shop environment

Member Engagement

• Build strong relationships with members and residents
• Maintain a visible and approachable presence around the club
• Help create a fun and welcoming golf culture

Qualifications

• PGA Professional or PGA Associate preferred
• Experience managing golf operations at a busy facility
• Strong background in tournament operations and handicapping
• Experience in golf shop merchandising and retail management
• Proven leadership and team development skills
• Experience building and maintaining an instructional program
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Passion for growing the game and creating great member experiences
