Position Summary
The GM/COO of Evansville Country Club serves as the chief operating officer and strategic leader of the club, responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional member experiences, and maintaining high standards in hospitality,
financial performance, facilities and staff management. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance tradition with innovation while fostering a welcoming and professional environment for members, guests, and staff.

Qualifications Required
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in private club management, hospitality, or upscale resort/golf operations
• Proven financial management, budgeting, team leadership, and project execution skills
• Analytical mindset with working knowledge of P&L, forecasting, and variance reporting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage members, staff, and the community
Qualifications Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field
• CMAA Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation or active pursuit
• Experience with club management software (Jonas, Northstar, ClubEssential, etc.)
• Knowledge of private club culture, governance, and board reporting
Essential Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Direct and oversee all club operations including golf, food & beverage, events, recreation, facilities, racquet sports, and member services
• Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and service standards that align with the club's mission
• Provide strong leadership and coordination to department heads; chair monthly HOD meetings and enforce accountability
• Develop and manage the club's annual operating and capital budgets in partnership with the Board and Finance Committee
• Monitor financial performance, control expenses, and maximize revenue opportunities
• Support long-term strategic planning, including membership growth and capital improvements
• Maintain a visible, approachable presence throughout the club; foster strong relationships with members
• Address member concerns and feedback promptly and professionally in partnership with the Director of Member Experience
• Oversee Racquet Sports Professional to ensure court maintenance, programming, and integration with club calendars
• Approve Director of Hospitality and Dining's turnaround strategy; monitor monthly performance and guide path to improved profitability
• Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team with a culture of service excellence
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and establish professional development plans
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety policies, liquor licensing, and health regulations
• Work closely with the Golf Professional and Superintendent to ensure excellent course conditions and tournament programming
• Support planning and execution of special events, tournaments, weddings, and banquets
