Investment Product Manager - Asset Management (Funds)

£competitive day rate (Umbrella)

HSBC are currently searching for a Product Developer (Non-IT) to join their team in London. This role is part of the Product Development team within HSBC Asset Management, responsible for designing, managing and evolving investment products across Global and U.K. markets, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, product governance and strategic range management.

Responsibilities:

1. Structuring and developing of funds, fund changes, mergers, closures
2. Specific reference to solutions for SFDR II
3. Enabling synthetic ETFs
4. Providing range management e.g. fee reviews and proposals
5. Reviewing product set and making recommendations on any amendments
6. Regulation SME pertaining to the product set including, but not limited to: SDR, UCITS, SFDR, ESMA naming
7. Leading & coordinating projects with a high level of documentation requirements including establishment of new umbrellas or structural changes to existing umbrellas or funds
8. Leading other product related projects as required
9. Enable proposals on product or platform changes
10. Own completion of product specifications
11. Own analysis and subsequent completion of governance documentation
12. Manage all document disclosures/updates and production processes
13. Submit & manage regulatory filings
14. Successfully complete an annual review of the fund documentation & associated filing with agreement from stakeholders
15. Publish required documents to various distribution channels including applicable websites
16. Coordinate and minute meetings/retain logs as required including: working group meeting, ideation forums, meetings with external counsel
17. Draft board papers pertaining to product development & amendments
18. Attend implementation calls as stakeholder and SME on the product

Experience Required:

1. 8+ years experience in investment management and knowledge of investment strategies & techniques, asset classes and asset management products
2. Evidence of detailed knowledge and understanding of fund regulation and specifically: SDR, UCITS, SFDR & Mifid
3. 5+ years experience in product development & regulation
4. 5+ years experience in managing fund documentation &/or fund legal documentation
5. Evidenced experience of working with stakeholders to meet regulatory filing obligations and timelines.
6. Demonstrated project management skills
7. Capacity to engage with various stakeholders and to coordinate complex projects
8. Strong written and verbal English
9. Experience of interpreting regulation and defining language to accurately portray it
10. Evidence of understanding and ability to review and define knock on implications and requirements associated with change requirements through the fund documentation and business model & implementing as required
11. Strong analytical skills, with a finance and/or business studies and/or economics background
12. Computer literacy (MS Office suite) is required
