CALIBRE Systems Inc. is an employee-owned, mission-focused solutions and digital transformation company, looking for a qualified individual to serve as Force Management Operations Officer / Instructor - Facilitator at the Army Force Management School (AFMS). The Force Management Operations Officer / I/F's primary function is to lead Force Management projects ICW Headquarters Department of Army (HQDA) Action Officers and Leaders and when needed to train/educate Leaders, Soldiers and Civilians on Force Management (FM) IAW Army Accreditation standards in support of AFMS.
The Force Management Operations Officer / IF's duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead the analysis, integration and publication of the How the Army Runs (HTAR) Reference Book (Both in digital, iterative, interactive tool and book publication).
- Coordinate and collaborate with HQDA Action Officers, Leaders and Subject Matter Experts concerning the adjudication, process mapping and process changes of their respective HTAR responsibility to incorporate such input into a future digital platform and publication in hard copy book.
- Review and assess HQDA process changes as they occur and provide recommendations for incorporation into the new HTAR digital platform and book.
- Coordinate with respective content creator and AFMS personnel on how best to integrate the content and graphics into a future digital platform and publication in hard copy book.
- Serve as the AFMS lead for all tasks associated with the integration of revised Army processes into a future HTAR digital, iterative and interactive platform and hard copy book publication.
- Conduct reviews of other learning institutions' curriculum for benchmarking.
- Assist other learning institutions in acquiring HTAR revised content.
- Be prepared to instruct/facilitate designated AFMS lessons in accordance with the principles and delivery techniques of the Army Learning Model (ALM).
- Serve as an AFMS SME in Army Force Management.
- Update the Publications Standing Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Prepare, coordinate and or publish research papers, white papers, functional primers, reports and briefings as required.
- Instruct Army leaders as part of the Force Integration Course for Senior Leaders (FICSL) and tailored Senior Leader Orientation Courses (SLOCs) in the new HTAR Digital, Iterative, Interactive platform.
- Conduct exportable training at locations throughout the United States when required
- Coordinate academic activities with the school Commandant, G-3/7 Force Management leaders, Course Sponsors in HQDA, Army National Guard HQs and other Army stakeholders.
- Coordinate workload matrix to support all courses on a weekly basis.
- Conduct a detailed lesson content review for accuracy, relevancy and currency as the revised HTAR content is approved for implementation.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have a SECRET security clearance.
- Three to five years of senior administrative level leadership and experience at the Branch Chief level within a DoD organization.
- Three to five years teaching experience in higher education (preferred).
- Must be able to travel.
- Must be able and willing to plan, coordinate, integrate, and prepare staffing actions at the high-quality standard of HQDA.
- Must be proficient at facilitation of a training and education session (Adult learning techniques).
- Ability to work in team settings, communicate, and collaborate with multiple organizations.
- Excellent oral communications skills.
- Excellent written communications skills with the ability to write papers and to grade written papers at the executive communication level.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
- Willingness to complete tasks as assigned.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, multi-task, and prioritize to meet multiple consecutive deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and the MS Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Army Vantage, and Power BI.
Required Education:
U.S. accredited Bachelor of Science or Arts degree
Graduate of the HTARC (formerly AFMC). Graduate of Command and General Staff College level / Intermediate Level Education or Commensurate Professional Commercial Civilian Education
Security Requirements. The person must possess and retain a SECRET security clearance as a condition of employment and retention. Failure to maintain a SECRET security clearance will be grounds to terminate employment.
