North Greenville Elementary School Principal
The Hortonville Area School District is seeking a principal and leader at North Greenville Elementary School for our professional learning community who is focused on student learning, collaborates with staff and parents, and uses data to make instructional decisions.
Building leadership to include experience with professional learning community support, best practice in instruction, feedback and community relationship development. The building leader is responsible for supporting the North Greenville Elementary School collaborative culture.
A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree level education and a Master of Science (MS) degree in education administration or leadership is required. At least five years of classroom teaching at the elementary school is preferred. Administrative experience as an Associate Principal or Principal is also preferred.
Qualifications:
Implements and models the professional learning community philosophy
Demonstrates instructional leadership qualities to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and the community
Demonstrates understanding/implementation of elementary curriculum, instruction, and assessment
Use and infusion of technology
Experience in teaching (minimum five years)
Experience as a principal (minimum three years)
Master's Degree in Educational Administration or Educational Leadership
Current DPI principal license
Reports to: District Administrator
Responsibilities:
Fosters success of all students and facilitates a shared vision of learning.
Serves as the instructional leader in the building to improve student learning.
Supervises the alignment and coordination of programs and/or curriculum.
Communicates high expectations for teaching with all staff.
Analyzes and uses data to make instructional decisions.
Understands the budget process and works within the parameters of the budget.
Monitors state and federal law requirements and implements local school board policy.
Promotes effective communication among staff, parents, students, and community members.
Follow PBIS format for building discipline.
Selects, assigns, supervises and evaluates staff. Teachers are evaluated with the Teacher Performance Evaluation System (CESA 6).
Provides ongoing professional learning to staff.
Develops policies and procedures for the building.
Serves as a liaison between the school, parents, and the community.
Participates as a member of the administrative team.
Fosters a positive school climate while demonstrating and understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity.
Works with parent organizations in the best interest of the students.
Serves on district committees and teams as appropriate.
Works cooperatively with the associate principal.
Responsible for the safety of all students.
Conducts staff meetings on a regular basis and other team meetings as appropriate.
Completes all other duties as assigned by the District Administrator.
Employment: A twelve-month contract, including twenty days of vacation will be issued in accordance with state statute. Salary and fringe benefits to be set annually.
Performance Evaluation: The principal will be evaluated annually by the District Administrator using the SAPES-School Administrator Performance Evaluation System.
Salary range: To be determined based on experience and education
