We are a well established private radiology group committed to delivering high quality diagnostic imaging services and an exceptional patient experience. We are seeking a strategic, results driven Director of Revenue Cycle Management to lead and optimize all revenue cycle operations across our practice.
Position Overview
The Director of Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for overseeing the full revenue cycle—from patient registration and insurance verification through billing, collections, and final payment. This leader will drive financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement strategies that enhance cash flow, reduce A/R days, and improve overall reimbursement accuracy.
This is a highly visible role that collaborates closely with physicians, administrative leaders, staff, and payors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all revenue cycle functions, including billing, coding, collections, denial management, and payor relations.
Develop and execute strategies to maximize cash flow and improve collection rates.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify trends, revenue leakage, and opportunities for operational improvement.
Ensure accurate and compliant CPT and ICD10 coding, with a focus on radiology specific procedures.
Maintain up to date knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance reimbursement rules.
Negotiate and manage relationships with insurance payors to resolve issues and optimize reimbursement.
Implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for revenue cycle staff.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to support financial and operational goals.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or related field.
7–10 years of progressive revenue cycle management experience in a healthcare setting.
Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience.
Strong background in radiology or diagnostic services (preferred).
Expertise in CPT and ICD10 coding for radiology.
Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing requirements.
Demonstrated success in improving collection rates, reducing A/R days, and lowering denial rates.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification such as CHFP, CRCR, or similar.
Experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and practice management software.
Familiarity with value based care models and their impact on radiology reimbursement.
Compensation Package
Base: $160K – $190K
Bonus: 12% – 25% (performance-based)
Total Target: $180K – $235K
