Director of Development
Reports to Executive Director

Primary Function:
The position is responsible for driving revenue generation across all funding channels to ensure the long-term financial health and sustainability of CCF by passionately promoting the mission of CCF and fostering a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization and community by cultivating relationships, securing funding, and leading special events as well as awareness for future community partnerships.
Working closely with the Executive Director the Director of Development will lead individual, corporate, foundation giving, grant acquisition, endowment campaigns, special events, as well grant writers. The position works closely with the Board of Directors, Development and Marketing Committees, volunteers, community partners and staff.
Principle Responsibilities:
Lead all fundraising efforts to advance the mission and financial sustainability of CCF.
Build and maintain a development infrastructure that supports long-term growth.
Develop, oversee, and manage the fundraising pipeline ensuring accurate tracking and forecasting of income.
Prepare and present regular reports, analyzing data to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
Promote philanthropy and the mission of CCF across the organization and within Chester County.
Serve as a key member of the leadership team, actively advancing CCF’s mission actively and passionately implementing the strategic plan.
Plan, organize, and execute special events with a focus on sponsorships, marketing, and donor engagement.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and transparent culture within the development team.
Design, direct, and implement the annual and strategic development plans.
Build and sustain strong relationships with key community leaders, organizations, and donors.
Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding long-term support.
Consistently meet or exceed established revenue goals and annual budget targets.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
5–10 years of progressive development experience with proven success in meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.
Demonstrate leadership in comprehensive development programs, including individual major gifts, foundation support, annual appeals, sponsorships, and events.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire, guide and mentor staff, board members, and volunteers.
Exhibit executive presence and confidence to partner effectively with the Executive Director and Board of Directors in fundraising activities.
Demonstrate excellent relationship skills, using passion and storytelling to connect with others and foster engagement across all levels.
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
Experience with donor databases, CRM platforms, and fundraising software.
Work Schedule
Full-time, exempt, salaried position.
Core hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Flexibility is required for evenings and weekends to actively attend CCF and community events.
Work Environment
Ability to move freely throughout the workplace, with extended periods of sitting or standing.
Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs. may be required.
Successfully complete all required clearances for working with youth.
