Overview
Pacific Coast Jet (PCJ) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead growth in our aircraft management portfolio under both Part 135 and Part 91 operations. This high-impact role focuses on identifying, pursuing, and closing new aircraft management contracts while cultivating trusted relationships with aircraft owners, brokers, and aviation partners.
The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter who understands private aviation, excels in relationship-based sales, and has a proven ability to convert opportunities into long-term clients.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
Identify and engage aircraft owners, family offices, brokers, lenders, and OEM representatives to generate qualified leads.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline through outreach, referrals, and industry networking.
Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through signed agreement.
Support aircraft sales and acquisition opportunities as needed.
Sales Strategy & Execution
Deliver compelling, data-driven presentations tailored to each client’s goals.
Partner with internal operations, finance, and leadership to develop proposals and budgets.
Negotiate management agreements that meet margin targets and exceed client expectations.
Consistently achieve or surpass quarterly and annual aircraft addition goals.
Market Positioning & Brand Representation
Represent PCJ at NBAA, industry events, and networking functions to expand brand awareness.
Build relationships with brokers, consultants, OEMs, and aviation stakeholders.
Serve as a brand ambassador, communicating PCJ’s values of transparency, service, and operational excellence.
Pipeline Management & Reporting
Maintain accurate CRM records of all leads, opportunities, and activities.
Provide leadership with clear forecasts and market feedback.
Continuously refine sales strategies to improve conversion rates and performance.

Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of direct sales experience in private aviation management, aircraft sales, or similar roles.
Proven ability to close high-value aircraft management contracts or comparable deals.
Strong understanding of Part 135 and Part 91 operations, cost structures, and ownership models.
Existing network of aircraft owners, brokers, and aviation professionals (preferred).
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Highly self-motivated with a competitive, results-driven mindset.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, or related field preferred.
