Description
The Director of Commercial Data Management will lead the design, governance, and operation of a centralized, enterprise-grade data environment that supports real-time decision-making across Sales, Access, and Marketing. You will ensure the organization's data platforms are reliable, scalable, and strategically aligned to business needs—including predictive analytics, GenAI initiatives, and omnichannel execution. The ideal candidate is equally fluent in commercial data strategy and technical execution, with a passion for creating seamless data experiences that power ZORYVE's commercial growth.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, governance, and execution of a centralized and governed commercial data platform to support business priorities
- Oversee the complete commercial data lifecycle—from acquisition and ingestion to harmonization, activation, and audit-readiness—for HCP, patient, access, and promotional datasets
- Partner with Field Operations, Access, and Brand teams to ensure data readiness for GenAI tools, predictive models, and executive dashboards
- Own and refine Arcutis's "single source of truth" architecture by integrating first-party, third-party, and syndicated datasets (e.g., IQVIA, MMIT, Veeva, Reltio)
- Implement robust data quality, lineage, and stewardship frameworks, including SLAs, MDM policies, and data dictionaries
- Collaborate closely with Commercial IT, external vendors, and internal business stakeholders to ensure platform scalability, security, and continuity
- Identify and deliver high-impact commercial data use cases tied to ZORYVE's growth—spanning GenAI pilots, omnichannel initiatives, and future asset launches
- Serve as the commercial data thought leader, translating complex technical topics into business-aligned roadmaps for executive and cross-functional partners
- Assist with any special projects as assigned
Education & Licenses and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline required; advanced degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of experience in commercial pharma or biotech, with 5+ years focused on data strategy, governance, or platform leadership
Competencies & Skills
- Deep expertise in commercial pharma data ecosystems (e.g., MDM, HCP/HCO master, claims, field activity, access, and promotional data)
- Proven experience designing and managing commercial data platforms that support advanced analytics and AI/ML models
- Strong command of syndicated and real-world data sources (e.g., IQVIA, MMIT, Komodo, Symphony) and how they enable field, brand, and access analytics
- Demonstrated success in establishing and operationalizing data governance frameworks, SLAs, and stewardship processes
- Proficiency in cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong cross-functional leadership and vendor management skills with the ability to bridge data, IT, and commercial teams
- Strategic mindset with ability to anticipate data needs for GenAI, omnichannel engagement, and future commercial launches
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative style that builds alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Travel up to 20%
