Areas of Specialization:
Applicants should specialize in one of the following fields:
Classical Chinese Literature (priority to poetry, lyrics/qu, and classical prose).
Intellectual History (priority to Neo-Confucianism and Buddhist studies).
Modern Chinese Literature.
Number of Positions: Two (Assistant Professor or above).
Qualifications:
(1) New full-time faculty members who do not yet hold a teacher’s certificate at the intended rank must apply for qualification review in accordance with the Regulations Governing the Appointment of Teachers at Junior Colleges and Institutions of Higher Education issued by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan.
(2) Applicants must hold an Assistant Professor certificate or above in Chinese Literature or a related field from a domestic or foreign university recognized by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan, and must meet at least one of the following criteria within the five years prior to appointment (from August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2026):
 a. Publication (or official acceptance with proof of forthcoming publication) of a peer-reviewed paper.
 b. Publication of a peer-reviewed monograph with documentation of review and public release.
(3) Holders of foreign diplomas must have their documents authenticated by a Taiwanese embassy, representative office, or other institution authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (hereafter referred to as “Taiwan’s overseas missions”).

Expected Start Date:
August 1, 2026.
