Job Summary
The Chemical Service Technician is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and effective technical service support to customers within assigned territories. This role supports sales and customer operations by executing system assurance plans, assisting with new application start-ups, and maintaining chemical treatment systems. The technician plays a critical role in identifying customer needs, resolving technical issues, and ensuring consistent service delivery while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide routine technical service support to assist with executing customer system assurance plans
Support start-up of new chemical applications for both existing customers and new accounts
Deliver technical support by identifying customer issues, troubleshooting problems, and escalating as needed
Perform required chemistry testing, accurately log and report data, and maintain product inventories at customer sites
Install, calibrate, and maintain chemical feed systems and process monitoring equipment
Maintain safe, compliant, and efficient service operations at customer locations
Travel within assigned territory as required
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
Minimum age requirement to operate company vehicles
Ability to work independently and follow established service procedures
Immigration sponsorship not available
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or trade school certification
Previous technical service, field support, or field operations experience
Strong mechanical aptitude
Experience in water treatment or specialty chemical industries
Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems
Practical computer skills, including familiarity with standard office software and ability to learn internal systems
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 55 pounds
Role is safety-sensitive and may be subject to drug and alcohol testing
