Job Summary
The Video Creator operates in a shooter-producer-editor (SPE) capacity, serving as a hands-on creative responsible for capturing, producing, and editing high-impact branded video content from concept through final delivery. This role is ideal for a versatile creator who thrives in agile, small-crew environments and can deliver premium, authentic, and editorially credible content under tight timelines.
Working closely with producers, creative leads, and editors, the Video Creator brings stories to life across social, digital, and short-form platforms—bridging production and post-production to ensure cohesive, platform-optimized storytelling. This is a hybrid work position.
Position Contributions
50% Production & Creative Execution
Provide creative and technical input on video capture aligned with client specifications and project vision
Collaborate with stakeholders at project kickoff to ensure smooth execution
Lead internal and external pre-production meetings
Develop shot lists, storyboards, and production outlines
Scout and recommend locations, props, and lighting setups aligned with creative vision and budget
Coordinate with talent, crew, and producers to prepare efficient shoots
Serve as primary camera operator and on-set producer for small-scale productions
Direct talent and real people to capture authentic performances
Manage lighting, audio, and composition to achieve high-quality visual output
Apply internal and client feedback in real time to maintain brand alignment
Provide recommendations on visual trends, equipment, and editing techniques
Partner with social and editorial teams to tailor content for various digital platforms
25% Pre-Production & Post-Production Management
Partner with production teams on crew booking, location securing, shot lists, equipment, schedules, and call sheets
Support talent coordination, including pre-interviews and occasional scripting or voiceover direction
Lead video editing across multiple formats including long-form, social, and promotional content
Manage the post-production process including ingest, editing, revisions, delivery, and archiving
Incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders and clients seamlessly
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Strong expertise in video production, including camera operation, lighting, and audio
Advanced video editing skills with experience creating content for multiple digital platforms
Ability to manage projects from concept through delivery
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Skilled at directing talent and working efficiently in lean production environments
Strong understanding of visual storytelling and platform-specific optimization
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
