Job Description:
SUMMARY:
A member of the CIV contract team in support of mobilization and continuity efforts for the 166 AV BDE. Plans and executes PLEX related tasks and keeps the CIV contract team lead(s) informed of requested efforts and results. Does not direct, commit resources, nor represents self as Government employee. Serves as the PLEX TM subject matter expert / advisor within the 166 AV BDE S3, specializing in Aviation unit partnership and mobilization processes while building and maintaining continuity and habitual relationships within the mobilization enterprise IOT bridge gap of green suit turnover. Key advisor to PLEX TM Chief, PLEX OIC, BDE S3, and BDE CMD team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in a sustainment planning team to augment 166 AV BDE to assist in long-term and continuous planning for Mobilization Surge operations at Fort Hood.
- Plans and executes the guidance for assigned NOS'd RC Aviation units through execution of planning, coordination, synchronization, and resourcing of Pre-MOB support and up to brigade level Post-Mobilization (Post-MOB) training exercises. Manages the Exercise Life Cycle (ELC) of assigned units and ensures the integration of all warfighting functions IOT provide challenging and effective training.
- Assist, mentor, and advise mobilizing RC units prior to mobilization.
- Develop post-mobilization unit training plan (UTP) outlining all training requirements.
- Advisor to 166 AV BDE and aligned unit, covering all aspects of Force Tracking number (FTN) and FORSCOM Pre-Deployment Training Guidance requirements.
- Plan, execute, and advise 166 AV BDE, FHTX Mobilization Support BDE, and aligned aviation units during critical planning events focused on unit readiness and MDMP for mobilizations operations .
- Create, prepare, optimize, and publish hour-by hour schedules for mobilizing aviation units in preparation for full post-mobilization rehearsal with entire FHTX mobilization enterprise.
- Conduct aligned unit readiness briefs based on established timelines, to inform DIV-W and First Army command teams / staff.
- Occasionally travel TDY at the government's expense.
- Develop, Wargame, and manage execution of multiple operations plans (OPLANs) and operations orders (OPORDs) ISO of aligned aviation units.
- Develop and refine exercise manning requirements, submit official Request For Support (RFS) memorandums
- Advises and assists assigned RC partner units through METL focused support to collective training.
- Maintain communication and coordination with higher, lower, National Guard, Army Reserve, Fort Hood, state, and local organizations.
- Conduct aligned unit readiness briefs based on established timelines, to inform DIV-W and First Army command teams / staff.

• This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.
o Hours of work: 8:00am- 5:00pm (M-F)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Essential :
• Active SECRET Clearance.
• NCOES / CO Grade KD complete or above with 10 years' experience in military operations process.
• Capacity to develop/ write/ revise materials, maintain records/ files of self-collected data, in order to collate information in support of assigned tasks within scope of work.
• The ability to develop operations plans (OPLANS) and operations orders (OPORDs) as directed.
• Familiarity with the military operations process.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office.
• Excellent personal communication skill.
• Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines.
• Must be able to devise steps necessary to complete tasks.
• Must have valid state driver's license and be able to maintain post driving privileges .
• Must be able obtain/maintain Common Access Card .
• Eligible to hold Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) account.
Preferred :
• Experience with Reserve Component Mobilization and Training is preferred.
• Experience with Army Aviation Operations is preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization. Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop down and lift and carry more than 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone ; and the manual dexterity to operate computer.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:
This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site.
Work performed indoors. Occasional travel (TDY). Will work 40 hours work week with a possibility to work weekends and/or holidays if mission/operations require. This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

• Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.
• Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.
• Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.

All employees are required to undergo an initial background investigation as a condition of employment. Additionally, employees may be subject to subsequent background investigations if circumstances warrant, such as the emergence of a need, an issue, or probable cause.
Employees assigned to work on federal installations or projects must also comply with government-mandated background investigations, which are conducted independently of the company's investigations. Employment and continued assignment to federal installations are contingent upon successfully meeting and maintaining these requirements.
