Position Overview:
The Department of Design and Creative Technology at The College of New Jersey invites applications for a 10-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Music Technology, starting in August 2026. In addition to teaching and scholarship, the position entails coordination of the Music Technology minor and advising students in the minor. Required courses include:
• Electronic Music : Using Logic Pro, intro-level studio techniques, MIDI sequencing, synthesis, sampling, mixing, and audio production; also theoretical and historical developments in electronic music.
• Interactive Music Programming : Using Max, a focus on MIDI, interface design, and controllers; also programming fundamentals including loops, logic, conditional statements, and data structures.
Depending on a candidate's expertise, additional courses will include some already in our catalog - such as Audio Signal Processing , Scoring for Media or Audio Electronics .
