Description
UMS-Wright Preparatory School seeks a dynamic, engaging, and student-centered Advanced Placement Upper School Mathematics Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 academic year. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning, a commitment to academic excellence, and the ability to inspire students to think critically and solve complex problems, preparing them for college and beyond.
Upper School faculty members play an integral role in supporting UMS-Wright’s mission to educate students to their highest potential in mind, body, and spirit while developing character of the highest possible order.
Requirements
- Teach Upper School AP-level Mathematics courses, including AP PreCalculus and AP Calculus AB
- Design and implement engaging, rigorous lessons aligned with college-preparatory standards
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students
- Incorporate real-world applications into instruction
- Utilize formative and summative assessments to guide instructional practices
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum alignment and vertical planning
- Maintain timely communication with students, parents, and administration regarding student progress
- Support the Academic Support Program through collaboration and intervention strategies as needed
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
- Contribute to the broader life of the school community through advising student organizations, coaching, or sponsoring extracurricular activities
